For some people taking the trip to Thammavong School is not practical, especially for those who live far away and would have to spend a lot of time and money to travel to reach us.

We are reaching out to help make consultations easier and more accessible by providing Skype consultations. With Skype consultations you get to have a face-to-face Classical Chinese Medicine consultation via webcam with one of our consultants from the comfort of your own home.

Andreas will conduct a consultation just the same as if you were sitting in our office, even if you are hundreds of miles away. Using Skype with a webcam enables you to see your consultant through the consultation, which makes communication far superior than talking on the phone or via email.

What is Skype?

Skype is a software application that enables users to chat over the internet for free. If you have a webcam you can share a video conversation with another user. You can download the Skype software for free. For more information about Skype check out the Skype website.

Your Skype consultation

If you’d like to book a Skype consultation, please write an email to: contact@andreas-kuehne.com

Please let us know what sort of issues you would like to discuss in your consultation, tell us your Skype username, and make sure you let us know what time zone you are in so we can arrange a suitable time. Also, please send us your diet plan, including all drinks and the time of your meals in the last 7 days.

What you need to do – a quick step-by-step guide:

Before your appointment day:

1. Write an email to contact@andreas-kuehne.com to book a Skype appointment (please include your issue, Skype name, time zone and diet plan)

2. Download Skype and create a Skype login with your email address (if you don't already have this)

3. Arrange your payment (see details below)

On the day:

1. Please don't eat or drink anything (except water) 2 hours before your consultation (it may influence your tongue diagnosis)

2. Log in to Skype ahead of your appointment time

3. Check that your microphone, speakers and webcam are working properly. Try making a 'test call' to 'Skype test call' (in your contacts) to check the volume of your microphone and speakers. If you hear feedback or screeching from your speakers try using headphones instead.

4. Create a consultation space:

If you have a laptop take it to your bedroom or office, or somewhere else that you can shut the door
Make sure the kids (and pets!) have distractions or are looked after by someone else
Find a comfortable seat where you can see the webcam and screen easily
grab a pen and paper for your notes through the consultation, and if you have any particular questions that you would like to ask your consultant write them down so you have them ready to go
If you have any things (product samples, food diary, medications etc) that you want to share with your consultant, make sure you organise these ahead of time so they are within easy reach

5. Your consultant will start a video call at your appointment time.

Your privacy

Nothing you share with us will be shared with someone outside of our team of experienced Chinese Medicine practitioners and herbalists.

Book your Skype consultation

We offer 3 different types of Skype consultations:

single consultation

A single consultation is a 1 hour consultation, inclusive tongue diagnosis, face diagnosis and diet plan check, plus a specific exercise and recommendation for an herbal formulae as a dietary supplement. The costs for a 1 hour single consultation are $98 / £78.

single follow-up consultation

A single follow-up consultation is a 15 minutes consultation which follows your first 1 hour consultation and is perfect to ask one or two questions and keep your consultant informed about the development of your health situation, especially when you use the recommended herbs as a dietary supplement. A follow-up consultation also includes another tongue diagnosis. A 15 minutes single follow-up consultation costs $25 / £20.

consultation package

To make sure you get the most out of your consultation, you also have the possibility to book a complete consultation package. This includes a 60 minutes consultation (incl. tongue diagnosis and diet plan check) plus two 15 minutes follow-ups, as well as a specific recommendation for an herbal formulae as a dietary supplement which we, if you wish, will send to you. The consultation package costs $128 / £99.
